Kunes Auto & RV Group Is a Proud Sponsor of the 2026 Walworth County Fair

Published on Aug 31, 2026 by Matthew Kroll

Kunes Auto Group got its start right here in Walworth County, when Gregg Kunes opened the very first Kunes dealership in Delavan back in 1996. Three decades later, Kunes Auto & RV Group still has dealerships within a couple miles of the Walworth County Fairgrounds. So when the fair asks Kunes Auto & RV Group to be a sponsor, it feels less like a business deal and more like neighbors showing up for each other, which is exactly the kind of community we like to be part of.

This year, Kunes Auto & RV Group is proud to sponsor the 177th Walworth County Fair, running September 2-7, 2026, at the Walworth County Fairgrounds, 411 E Court St in Elkhorn.

A Fair Built by the Community, for the Community

The Walworth County Fair is put on by the Walworth County Agricultural Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that's been at this for 177 years. Every ticket, every sponsorship, and every dollar raised goes right back into keeping the fairgrounds running and the tradition alive for the next generation of exhibitors, 4-H kids, and families. That mission lines up closely with our own. Kunes gives back 10% of its annual net profits to charities in the communities we serve, so supporting an event this rooted in Walworth County was an easy yes.

Grandstand Entertainment Lineup

The fair's grandstand is bringing in a strong week of shows. Here's what's on the schedule:

  • Wednesday, September 2 – Rice Pro Rodeo with Bella Cain in concert
  • Thursday, September 3 – PI Motorsports Truck & Tractor Pulls
  • Friday, September 4 – Russell Dickerson in concert
  • Saturday, September 5 – Lynyrd Skynyrd
  • Sunday, September 6 – Ludacris with special guest DJ Bizzon
  • Monday, September 7 – Demolition Derby (12:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. runs)

Tickets for grandstand events are sold exclusively through the fair's official ticketing partner, Tixr, linked from walworthcountyfairgrounds.com. If you see fair tickets being sold anywhere else, it's worth double-checking before you buy.

Plenty to Do at No Extra Cost

You don't need a grandstand ticket to have a full day at the fair. General admission includes access to a long list of complimentary attractions, including:

  • Barnyard Adventure, the fair's award-winning agriculture education area, complete with brag tags for kids, a butterfly observation tent, and a working beehive
  • Discovery Barn and combine rides for kids
  • Peggy's Park Stage entertainment, running all week
  • Draft horse pulls and open horse shows
  • The new Amazing Anastasini Circus
  • Kids pedal tractor pulls
  • Live glassblowing demonstrations
  • Daily contests with prizes, plus the Junior and Open Class exhibit halls showcasing thousands of entries from Walworth County families

Whether your family comes for the animals, the rides, the music, or the demolition derby, there's a reason the fair has been a Labor Day week tradition in this county for well over a century.

See Us at the Fair

Kunes Auto & RV Group is honored to help keep that tradition going. Stop by the fairgrounds September 2-7, and while you're in the neighborhood, the Kunes Auto & RV Group team would love to say hello. We'll see you at the fair, Walworth County.
